Hello and welcome to Monkey Puzzle Lightwater. Our team are dedicated to giving every child the best start in life by caring for and supporting them to play, learn and grow in a positive and stimulating nursery environment.

Praised in our 2025 Ofsted report

Monkey Puzzle Lightwater’s most recent Ofsted report was published in November 2025, confirming that safeguarding standards were fully met and children’s safety and wellbeing remain a top priority. The nursery achieved Expected Standard across five key areas of inspection, alongside a Strong Standard in one area, reflecting the high-quality care, learning and support provided by the team.

Monkey Puzzle Lightwater takes a holistic approach to learning guided by the Early Years Foundation Stage framework (EYFS). Our team inspire through excellence in Early Years education placing the development and needs of the children we care for at the heart of everything we do. Nursery and preschool is a time when a child learns about themselves as much as the world around them. We have a dedicated outdoor space used for a wide variety of activities from discovering nature to sports. Our wider local community plays an important role in the nursery experience as an extended learning environment to create well rounded socially aware young children.

How To Find Monkey Puzzle Lightwater

Monkey Puzzle Day Nursery Lightwater, is proudly located in the heart of Lightwater in the GU18 postal sector. The nursery is on Guildford Road, just over the road from The Red Lion and the Lightwater Post Office. The nursery is just a short walk from the town centre and close to both the A322 and the M3. This makes us well located for serving families in the town of Lightwater.
